As Owner and Managing Principal of AMR Healthcare Consulting LLC, Ms. Rainer brings more than a decade of clinical expertise as a Registered Nurse and an impressive track record of superior performance in the field of healthcare management and clinical information systems. AMR Healthcare Consulting is a boutique healthcare information technology consulting firm that offers professional services to hospitals, healthcare organizations and physician practices transitioning to a fully integrated Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Ms. Rainer is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company, and continues to work directly with clients on projects. She strongly believes that working directly with the clients provides a great deal of insight into the client’s current issues and challenges.
Prior to founding AMR Healthcare Consulting, Ms. Rainer served as a Quality & Outcomes Consultant for Allscripts (formerly Eclipsys). In her position she provided direct sales support in a leadership consulting role, advising clients to implement best practices to identify and address performance gaps in service delivery that lead to clinical transformation and financial improvement within the realm of healthcare information technology. Ms. Rainer has served as a Nurse Researcher for the National Institutes of Health and as a Nursing Informatics Consultant for the Veterans Health Administration, Chief Health Informatics Office.
Ms. Rainer holds a Masters in Health Systems Management with a concentration in Health Policy from George Mason University, and a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Winston-Salem State University. She is a member of the American Nursing Informatics Association (ANIA-CARING) and a member of the Healthcare Information & Management Systems Society (HIMSS) where she serves on the Nursing Informatics Task Force and the HIMSS Policy Summit Leadership Awards Task Force. Ms. Rainer is also a member of the North Carolina State Nurses Association Council on Nursing Informatics (NCNA-CoNI).
