The editorial for this issue will take a slightly different track than usual. I currently have several students who are writing integrative review manuscripts for their Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) Capstone Projects. As I searched for a topic related to my column titled “The Frontier: Floating in the Cloud and Networking in an Internet Connected World” I stumbled upon an article by Li, J., Talaei-Khonei, A., Seale, H., Ray, P., and MacIntyre, C. (2013). The article describes a systematic review of the literature, not unlike an integrative review, that focused on the adoption by healthcare providers of eHealth information and communication technologies across the healthcare continuum. I would encourage everyone who is interested in the future of eHealth to read the article in its entirety. Perhaps, one of my students who are writing an integrative review on healthcare providers perspectives of electronic health records will find this article useful. For those of you who take the time to read the article feel free to email me with your comments.
