Resources and Increasing C & IT in the Curriculum

Rebecca Osselton   BA Hons MSc

The article details and discusses two qualitative questionnaires to staff and students at the Faculty of Health, Social Work and Education at the University of Northumbria, Newcastle upon Tyne, UK.  The questionnaire to students was designed to sample attitudes to what were current online services and web pages within the Faculty. The staff questionnaire concerned their feelings and attitudes regarding their current use of IT resources and the increasing pressure to use Communication and Information Technology in teaching. The questionnaires were part of an evaluation process required by a TLTP3 project, taking place at the Faculty and other HE institutions. The project studies the processes involved in embedding new technologies into Higher Education institutions and benefits/implications for students.
