OJNI has a Make Over...

Dr. Dee McGonigle

This editorial is designed to inform you about the new and improved Online Journal of Nursing Informatics. As OJNI continues to evolve, it is important that we look back and thank those Editors who have contributed to our success! We will highlight a few of the dedicated colleagues that I am also privileged to consider friends!

Dr. Roz Seymour has been with the journal since its inception. She has provided leadership as well as editorial support. Roz has since retired from a wonderful career yet she continues to support and nurture OJNI!

Dr. Jack Yensen has provided leadership and editorial support while maintaining our web site. Jack's ongoing support and guidance will continue to strengthen the journal.

June Kaminski not only provides editorial support but is also on our Board of Directors. She has recently updated our web site. The new look and feel of the journal is evidence of June's creativity and dedication to nursing informatics (NI) and OJNI.

The skilled and highly qualified Peer Reviewers who faithfully review the manuscripts include Dr. Kathleen Mastrian, Dr. Toni Hebda, Dr. Ann Lyness, and Dr. Roz Seymour. The review process is time and energy intensive. OJNI could not maintain its quality without the rigorous work of these devoted nursing professionals.

Our outstanding Board of Directors is comprised of Dr. Nancy Staggers (Co-Chair), Dr. Diane Skiba (Co-Chair), Dr. Diane Billings (Secretary), June Kaminski (Treasurer), and Dr. Kathryn Bowles (member). They have so graciously given their time, expertise and energy to enhance the journal.

OJNI would not be here today without the commitment and support of these dedicated nursing informatics experts. There are so many others who have contributed and we hope to highlight their efforts in future editions. Please get involved with this exciting team and help us to keep evolving with this challenging NI specialty!
