Editorial: Center for Nursing Classification and Clinical Effectiveness
Dee McGonigle, Editor-in-Chief
In May of this year, the Center for Nursing Classification and Clinical Effectiveness sent letters requesting our support to help them build the Center’s endowment fund. The letter began, “This year the Center for Nursing Classification and Clinical Effectiveness is celebrating the 10th anniversary of Nursing Interventions Classification (NIC) and the 5th anniversary of Nursing Outcomes Classification (NOC).”
In my opinion, we should truly celebrate this Center and the work of so many caring professionals who have dedicated their time and energy to these worthwhile projects. The classification languages are essential to the continued evolution of the nursing profession in the electronic age through the standardized language of the NIC and NOC.
Please contribute to the growth of their endowment. According to their letter, “Your donation is tax deductible and no gift is too small. We need your help in keeping quality nursing care effective and visible.”
Please contact the Center to provide your support.
